Brian Kortovich - Executive Director
Brian Kortovich has defined his life by dreaming big and overcoming the odds. The Cleveland native overcame the loss of his father to cancer at an early age through basketball, an escape and means of support that has always been there since. What began as a cathartic outlet quickly became a life-long passion and devotion, propelling Brian all around the world in search of a hoop and a great game.
BK has played professionally in Kuwait, France, Israel and the Dominican Republic, paving the way into the NBA D-League draft and preseason camps with both the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets.
Of late Brian’s game has found a home in NYC, earning certified street cred by wreaking havoc in city leagues, more than earning the nickname “Smokin’ Aces” at the famed EBC Rucker Park. That’s where he won a scoring title - in the summer of 2012 – joining a list that includes legends like Dr J, Joe “The Destroyer” Hammond, Kevin Durant and other greats. BK’s skills has also allowed him to rep storied brands, including AND1, whom he toured with across the US, giving back and inspiring the youth as much as possible along the way.
Aces in Action is BK's way to give back, make a difference and raise awareness towards the continued fight to find a cure for cancer.

Brant Cryder
Brant Cryder is the President of Yves Saint Laurent North America. Before rejoining the Gucci Group in his current role, Brant spent the past 12 years with the Prada Group following his time at both Saks Fifth Avenue and Armani. He has four wonderful children: Ellie, Baylor, Hudson and Beckett with his lovely wife Mary. He studied Business and Communications at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Brant is also a distinguished DJ who has played at major parties, events and fashion shows in Bali, Italy, LA and NYC. He has appeared at numerous speaking engagements in relation to the fashion industry including CCC Manhattan and Paradox. Cryder has a very strong heart to encourage, motivate and lead people into an increased understanding of their call, identity and destiny.
Carl Lentz
Carl pastors Hillsong NYC, a church in the heart of Manhattan that has a passion to serve the city and make an impact worldwide. If you can't find Carl at HillsongNYC, you can find him at MSG watching the Knicks as he attempts an NBA comeback.
Joel Houston
Joel Houston is a world-renowned songwriter and worship leader. He is currently Creative Director for Hillsong globally and lives in New York City, where he is helping to build Hillsong NYC. Joel travels the globe with Hillsong United who desire to see a generation across the earth awakened to real love, rise up with hearts as one and find value in the broken, hurting and lost. His other passion is his family, being the husband to Esther and the father to his son Zion.
John Krueger
John Krueger is the associate regional manager of Marcus & Millichap’s Manhattan and Westchester offices. Krueger joined the firm in 2011 as an agent where he specialized in the sale of Midtown office properties. John prides himself on being an expert not only in his market, but also in area specific issues that affect the market. His extensive knowledge of this field has allowed him to provide guidance to numerous owners and developers through the delivery of comparable rents, demographic analysis, capital markets analysis and property evaluations in terms of cap rates, price per square foot, and future upside potential.
